We are an international nursery and preschool in Japan that takes pride in providing a high-quality, child-centered education. Our center is a registered Ninkagai Hoikuen, which means that we are officially approved and regularly inspected by the city government, giving you peace of mind. Additionally, working parents are eligible for subsidies of 37,000JPY per month for children aged 3-6.

Our commitment to small class sizes is evident in our maximum ratio of 6 children per practitioner. We believe in following the children's interests, and our goal is to make as much of what we do as possible child-led. Our focus on child-led learning means that we provide a wide range of resources and activities that are accessible to the children, and only Phonics and Maths are primarily teacher-led. We provide long periods of uninterrupted play to allow the children to become fully engaged and practitioners are there to extend and enhance their learning. During these play periods, our practitioners have many interactions with each child individually or in small groups to support their development.

Communication is a vital aspect of our approach, and we use a popular online learning journal to share milestones, wow moments, and interesting interactions from the classroom every day. This platform allows you to keep up with your child's progress, communicate directly with your child's teacher, and even make posts yourself to record for later or inform the teacher about what your child is doing at home. As we cater to a small number of students, we strive to understand your thoughts and how we can provide the best possible setting for you and your children. We recognize that every child and family is unique, and we are committed to being a school that can adapt to changing expectations year after year.

Our weekly Forest School is a highlight of our program. We visit the Berry Forest, a piece of local protected woodland that we rent for our own use, and spend the day in nature. Being in uncultivated nature allows for amazing engagement, interactions, and experiences that are difficult to replicate in a man-made park or classroom. On other school days, we aim to spend time outside every day, visiting local parks, places of interest, or just going for nature walks around the local farmland.

At our international nursery and preschool, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the development and growth of each child. We welcome families from all backgrounds and nationalities to join us on this exciting journey of learning and discovery.

■Discounts

● Transfer Discount：Children coming from another International Preschool are entitled to a 50% discount on the registration fee to help with costs that can come with changing schools.

School bus

We have a school bus available for morning/afternoon commutes and school trips/Forest School.
Bus maintenance fee (for all students) 4000JPY per month
Bus Commute Fee 5400JPY per month up to 4km, 1200JPY per month per additional km up to 8km.
